Actor Guido Pollemans said he had stopped drinking alcohol after filming *Carnival*, during which he drank heavily for a scene. He said that the production initially used regular beer, then switched to alcohol-free beer, and that he ultimately stopped drinking altogether.

Pollemans said he had been alcohol-free for ten months and did not miss drinking. He also said he disliked needles and would ask his wife to accompany him if their children were vaccinated.
