A single report said Gucci's third-quarter sales fell faster than expected, mainly because of weak results in China. The recovery of the Kering-owned luxury brand remains difficult, it said.

The same report said L'Oréal, which sells products in lower price ranges as well, is growing strongly despite China's weaker economy.
