Global pollutant emissions may have peaked

Global pollutant emissions may have reached a turning point after years of increases, with emissions possibly having peaked. The previously feared scenario of 1.7 degrees of warming was described as no longer likely, but a steep subsequent decline remains uncertain. Current measures are not achieving the climate targets, it was reported.
