A crowdfunding campaign was launched to help cover the legal costs of the parents of Milou Verhoof, a 17-year-old from Bavel who died by euthanasia in 2023. The parents have filed a disciplinary complaint against 13 doctors and psychiatrists who signed a letter calling for an exploratory criminal investigation into her euthanasia. One of the 14 original signatories apologised and was not included in the complaint. The campaign organisers said the costs have risen to tens of thousands of euros and may continue to increase.
