Frisian MPs Lucienne Boelsma of the CDA and Marieke Vellinga of D66 called for a timeline for widening the locks at Kornwerderzand and creating a new connection to Ameland. Habtamu de Hoop of Pro also called for additional infrastructure through a comprehensive agreement with the cabinet.

The MPs said the lock expansion and the Ameland connection should be addressed later. No further status was reported.
