Friesland argued in The Hague for a fairer distribution of the government’s available cultural funding among the provinces. Deputy Sijbe Knol said the province was not asking for more money in the Ministry of Education’s budget, but for a distribution that would give everyone a structural opportunity to experience and create culture in their own surroundings.
