Franca Treur described oppression as a Reformed woman
◆1 source
Franca Treur, 47, said she had felt like a second-class citizen as a woman in the Reformed community. Years after breaking with that community and the church, she said that she had fled oppression in the church but encountered it in society as well.
She said being a Reformed woman was even worse than being Reformed. Her comments concerned how she was viewed by Reformed women and by society after her departure from the community and the church.
