The Ooibos forest in Crempene was reported to have been preserved after more than 40 years of uncertainty over plans to build homes there. Five project developers had tried unsuccessfully to develop the site. At a gathering, Peter van der Graaf of Stichting Mooi Crempene said the forest would finally have a future.
