Fog disruption at Schiphol and Eindhoven airports

Dense fog on Friday disrupted air traffic at Schiphol Airport and Eindhoven Airport. The weather service had warned that visibility could locally fall below 200 metres and, in some places, below 50 metres.
At Eindhoven Airport, two early-morning flights, to Barcelona and Prague, were cancelled. At Schiphol, airlines cancelled a few dozen flights as a precaution. Visibility improved earlier than expected, allowing air traffic to return to its normal schedule.
