Austrian slackliner Florian Zoller reportedly crossed 144 metres on a belt measuring 2.5 centimetres wide, stretched between two floating cableway cabins in the Austrian Alps. The crossing took 15 minutes and 30 seconds and reached heights of up to 150 metres, more than doubling the previous record of 65 metres. The cabins could tilt by up to 12 degrees, making the crossing more difficult. After completing the final metres, Zoller reportedly fell exhausted into his safety line. The International Slackline Association said the record was officially recognised.
