Flooding at Oudeschild harbour during storm Boelo
◆3 sources
Storm Boelo drove water levels up around the Wadden Islands, with strong westerly winds pushing seawater ashore. During the night, water at Oudeschild on Texel reached 2 metres above NAP and flooded the harbour, reaching the fronts of restaurants, shops and hotels. Businesses used wooden barriers and pumps to protect their premises, and a parked car was moved in time.
