The municipalities of Flevoland, the province and Sportservice Flevoland have started a large survey into sports and exercise in the province. It aims to establish how many residents exercise, why they do or do not do so, and how behaviour differs between neighbourhoods. Occasional activities such as walking are included, as are responses from people who do not exercise.

The findings are intended to help municipalities improve sports facilities and services by identifying local needs and barriers to exercise. The questionnaire can be completed until 1 December through sportsparticipantflevoland.nl.
