The first baby hatch in Gelderland was reported to have opened on Tuesday at the Amalia Children’s Hospital in Nijmegen. Women can seek help there during their pregnancy and, in some cases, relinquish their baby. The opening was accompanied by the hope that the room would never need to be used.
