A major fire broke out overnight from Friday to Saturday at a food wholesaler on Sydneystraat in Rotterdam. The fire service said the building was fully alight inside, with flames coming from the roof, and fought the blaze from several sides with extensive personnel and equipment.

Part of the Zichthoven business park was closed during the firefighting operation. Firefighters worked to stop the fire spreading to other buildings, and no injuries were reported.
