A fire broke out on Sunday evening in a business complex on Venbroekstraat in Nieuwkuijk. A neighbour noticed smoke at about 9 p.m., and firefighters took time to locate the fire, which was in a first-floor space. Three fire engines were deployed.

The building houses several car businesses, a gym and a tattoo shop. Police arrested the owner for obstructing emergency services; he resisted the arrest and was taken in handcuffs to the police station in Den Bosch. The cause is under investigation, and police said there were no indications of suspicious circumstances.
