Rijkswaterstaat has reportedly been cancelling four ferry sailings a day between Dordrecht Kerkeplaat and Rosmolenweg amid heavy demand. During peak periods, the ferry has not been operating according to schedule.

From Monday, the service is set to run twice an hour instead of three times an hour, in the hope of avoiding delays. Travellers have been using the ferry because the Papendrechtsebrug is closed and have expressed incomprehension about the reduction.
