A mother and daughter, Jenny Balcarras, 48, and Selah Reed, 20, were found dead after they had been reported missing near the remote coastal town of Bella Coola in British Columbia, Canada. Their bodies were found following a search along a walking route.

The deaths were believed to have resulted from an attack by one or possibly several grizzly bears. The reports described the attack as suspected or probable.
