A driver from Maarssen went on trial after hitting a 98-year-old woman from Soest as she crossed a zebra crossing with a rollator. She was seriously injured and died shortly afterwards in hospital.

The prosecution sought a community-service sentence. The collision occurred about a year and a half before the hearing.
