A mobility-scooter rider died after colliding with a bus on the bus lane along Monnickendammerjaagweg in Edam. Emergency services attempted to resuscitate the victim, but were unsuccessful. One report said the rider had crossed the bus lane before being struck by an EBS bus. The bus driver and passengers were unharmed. The bus driver and passengers were taken away, and the bus lane is closed while the circumstances of the collision are investigated.
