Emile Ratelband’s family was reportedly surprised that it could not view the latest video of him made by Thai authorities and the Foreign Office. The family also questioned why it had not received a sign of life. It remained unclear whether the 77-year-old Ratelband was still living in Canada with his confidant Jomanda.
