Family dispute over Urk staffing company referred to mediation

A legal dispute over the future of the Urk-based staffing company Weerckpost involved founder Geert Post, his son Nanne Post and his daughter Maria Coenen-Post. Nanne said he had been excluded from the company at the end of the previous year after returning from a four-week adoption trip and had since been suspended as a driver and barred from participating in decisions. He asked the court for a solution, saying the company he helped build was slipping away from him. His father and sister said they no longer wanted him to return, citing alleged unwanted and cross-border behaviour and concerns among employees and customers. The specific alleged conduct was not disclosed in court, and Nanne denied wrongdoing.
The family had previously tried mediation and discussed a buyout, but neither had produced a solution. During the hearing, the judge urged them to try mediation again. After a short break, the parties agreed to seek a joint solution until 1 December; if that fails, the judge may still issue a ruling.
