An explosive device was placed at a residential complex on Mt. Lincolnweg in Amsterdam-Noord at about 2 a.m. It did not detonate. Explosives specialists secured the device, and residents did not have to leave their homes.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man from Amsterdam shortly afterwards near NDSM-Street.
