An explosion at a restaurant on the Hengelolaan in The Hague during the night from Sunday to Monday shattered the building’s windows and scattered shrapnel across the pavement. Nobody was injured. Camera images reportedly showed a man smashing the restaurant’s windows and throwing an explosive inside.

A day later, the incident was still causing concern in the neighbourhood. A neighbour, Muneeb, said the area was getting worse.
