An explosion damaged the front of Hassan hair salon on Aartshertogenlaan in Den Bosch at about 2 a.m. on the night of Saturday to Sunday, scattering debris in the street. Residents of apartments above the shop were evacuated as a precaution. Police cordoned off the area and deployed forensic and explosives specialists to investigate. One report said the explosion was believed to have been caused by heavy illegal fireworks. The owner arrived shortly after neighbours alerted him but was not allowed into the premises while the investigation was under way.
