Several pubs on Thorbeckeplein in central Amsterdam were evacuated after smoke was reported at one café. About 100 visitors were sent outside, and other nearby cafés were also cleared as a precaution.

Firefighters, who were alerted at about 9:45 p.m., deployed several vehicles and were still investigating the source of the smoke. It remained unclear whether there was a fire and, if so, where it was located.
