The municipality of Etten-Leur seized the Old Town Hall after developer Bernard de Nijs, who has owned the building since July, put it back up for sale. The municipality said the seizure was intended to freeze the situation.

Construction contractor Bernard de Nijs from Hoogerheide, who bought the Oude Raadhuis in Etten-Leur in July, wants to sell the property back to the municipality. He confirmed that he intends to do so at a profit. Plans for a cycling museum remain in place.
