Chief of Defence Onno Eichelsheim said the Dutch armed forces should use subscriptions or leasing contracts with drone manufacturers. He said such an arrangement would ensure that the military receives the latest versions of unmanned systems as technology changes rapidly, rather than acquiring drones that quickly become obsolete.
