Laurens de Korte was no longer part of amateur club Eemdijk’s squad because he had not moved to the village of Bunschoten-Spakenburg, as agreed with the club. De Korte had joined from Veensche Boys, where he played as a left back, and his final summer was reportedly not in line with the club’s agreements about the move.
