The Dutch House of Representatives wants the number of civilian reserves to increase rapidly to 150,000 by 2030. They would assist if the police, armed forces and emergency services could no longer manage during a major crisis or disaster, particularly during the first three days, to help society continue functioning and prevent chaos.
