Driver seeks damages from parents of cyclist killed in Ardennes crash

A driver involved in the death of 16-year-old Belgian cyclist Lars Janssens in the Ardennes four years ago is seeking €8,000 from his parents for damage to his car. The parents, Debby and Guy Janssens from Merksplas, are due to appear in court.

The reports said the driver had cannabis in his blood, with one report putting the level at four times the legal limit. The case against the driver was dismissed.
