A driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash on the Markerwaarddijk (N307) near Lelystad on Friday morning at about 8:50. The car left the road and hit a guardrail, severely damaging its front and part of the barrier. Emergency services attended, and ambulance staff took the driver to hospital for further treatment. The severity of the injuries is unknown, and the cause of the crash has not been determined.

The damaged car was removed and traffic was temporarily rerouted. The road is now open again without disruption, while the damaged guardrail is to be repaired later.
