Driver confronts police during car impoundment in Roosendaal

Police stopped a motorist on Van Beethovenlaan in Roosendaal on Monday night and found that he did not have a valid driving licence. Police said it was the fifth time within a year that he had been caught driving without one. They fined him and impounded his car, which had Polish registration plates.

When officers told him the car would be impounded, the man shouted, removed his shirt and adopted a fighting stance. Officers pointed a stun gun at him as a precaution, but did not use it after he calmed down. Police are seeking permanent confiscation of the vehicle, and the man received another report for driving without a licence.
