Driemond village council becomes Weesp’s second neighbourhood platform

Driemond village council has become Weesp’s second neighbourhood platform after daily director Gerben Hiemstra and chair Dirkje Sommeijer signed a cooperation agreement. The council now has an official role as an interlocutor for the municipality of Amsterdam and the Weesp district.

The platform will focus on youth facilities, accessibility in Driemond, the preservation of green spaces and nature, major maintenance in the village, and the loss of facilities such as the supermarket and parcel services.
