Douwe Bob said his recent exchange with Waylon over country music was not a serious dispute. It followed Waylon describing himself as the Netherlands’ only true ambassador for the genre, to which Douwe Bob had responded on Instagram.

Speaking on Radio Veronica, Douwe Bob said he was a fan of Waylon, called him the best singer in the Netherlands and said he believed they were on good terms.
