Utrecht’s plan to introduce paid parking throughout the municipality has reportedly encountered problems in some areas. In Hoograven-Zuid, the expansion has led to crowded parking spaces, while in Lunetten a playground is reportedly at risk of disappearing because of the arrival of paid parking.

The expansion is therefore not proceeding smoothly everywhere, with local concerns reported in both neighbourhoods.
