Oirschot’s council is due to decide on Tuesday on the design of the new Boterwijk. Residents and heritage advocates are calling for firm guarantees to protect the historic landscape, while the council does not want to set those protections until a later stage.

The current status is that the design decision is pending and the level of landscape protection remains disputed.
