A Kaatsheuvel man returned to court in a dispute with his neighbour, who is also his mother-in-law, over cameras he says are aimed at his home and garden. The Breda court had ruled in April that she must remove cameras pointed at his property within 48 hours, subject to a penalty of €1,000 a day up to €25,000. He said the cameras remained in place after the maximum penalty was reached. She denied filming his property, saying the cameras were for her safety and monitored only her own land; she also accused him of infringing her privacy with his own cameras.
A single report said the man’s lawyer asked the court to allow a bailiff and locksmith into the woman’s home to remove the cameras if she does not do so herself, as the earlier ruling did not provide for this. The judge said photographs clearly showed cameras directed at the man’s house. A ruling is pending in two weeks.
