The former Hotel Sonnevanck on the Koningin Astrid Boulevard in Noordwijk was demolished, leaving a vacant site at the end of the promenade. The owner wants to build apartments there, but residents in the neighborhood consider the proposed building too large.

The site remains undeveloped.
