A cycle path between Wassenaar and Leiden is due to close for a year in January, requiring cyclists to take a diversion. The cyclists’ association has proposed an alternative route, which HeatlinQ says would create an additional risk for cyclists. The association does not consider its alternative unsafe, but mainly inconvenient. The route and the way the disputed diversion was established remain under discussion.
