Young people from Noordoostpolder who want to go out in Zwolle can use the Flevo Night Express, a new discobus operated by taxi company owner George Huis in ’t Veld from Kuinre. The bus picks up passengers at several locations in the polder, takes them to Zwolle and brings them home afterward, with disco lights and music that passengers can choose themselves. Huis in ’t Veld said he started the service because there is little to do in the polder and no public night transport to bring young people home after buses stop running at 11:30 p.m. Without the service, they would have to use expensive taxis or arrange a designated driver.
