After years in which illnesses dominated her life, 51-year-old Diane Krukkert from Nijverdal was due to travel to a specialist clinic in Florida in November, which she described as her last resort. The trip was made possible by dozens of fundraising efforts, an anonymous donation and support from people in Twente.
