Dense fog and stormy weather in North Holland

◆1 source

Dense fog affected North Holland on October 7, prompting the KNMI to issue a code-yellow warning until 10:00 because of reduced visibility and possible traffic disruption. Visibility was reported to be worst around West Friesland, at 900 metres, although no traffic disruption had yet been reported. The fog was expected to clear during the morning. Rain was expected to increase during the day, with considerably more showers in the evening. The wind was forecast to turn northwesterly and strengthen along the coast and the IJsselmeer, potentially reaching force 6 or 7. The previous forecast had said the province would again see calmer, cooler weather from Thursday.
