Restoration of the shore at Valkenburg Lake that collapsed last year has been delayed. The sand-extraction company had been due to build a new quay this autumn, but preparations are taking longer than expected. The Province of South Holland expects the quay to be completed only by the end of 2027 and says it regrets the delay.
