Debate continues over the wolf’s impact on the Veluwe forest

Hunters and nature managers said they were seeing early signs that the wolf was changing the forest on the Veluwe. The reported effects on pigs, deer and trees, and whether the wolf makes the forest healthier, remained under discussion, while scientific evidence for such ecological changes was still lacking. Almost all existing knowledge was described as anecdotal.
