Jiri “George” Petrnousek, regarded as one of the Tilburg Trappers’ legendary players, died in Tilburg last week at the age of 79. He had also served as a Tilburg councilman for List Smolders.

Before Tuesday evening’s game against Herner EV Miners, the club remembered Petrnousek at the Ice Sports Centre Tilburg. His memory continues to live on among the Trappers community, where he was described as a fine man and a fantastic player.
