Traffic expert and economist Walther Ploos van Amstel died during the preceding weekend at the age of 64. He had worked for decades in logistics and mobility, was a lecturer at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and gave advice and criticism on traffic and mobility issues in Amsterdam. He was also active as a DJ at queer parties.
