Television director Bram van Erkel died at the age of 94, his family reported. He directed television series and programmes from the 1960s to 2003, including the youth series Q & Q and De Zomer of '45'.

He also worked for broadcasters including AVRO, KRO and NCRV and directed dozens of productions. A single report said that he later took part in the 2023 comedy series Bergen Binnen and that the cause of his death was not disclosed.
