Margaret Hamilton, the software pioneer who developed software for NASA’s Apollo missions and helped establish software engineering as a field, died at the age of 90. MIT, where she worked for many years, announced her death. She died on 30 September, according to one report. Her software contributed to the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.
