The data of 8.8 million Danes was reportedly stolen in what was described as Denmark’s biggest hack. A hacker allegedly gained easy access to the Danish population register and collected millions of records within days with the help of artificial intelligence.
Expert Thomas Ploug said the main problem was that large amounts of data were being collected without Danes knowing what was collected, where it was stored or how it was used.
