Storm Austen caused damage overnight from Friday to Saturday, with reports from dozens of locations, particularly in the south of the country, of fallen trees and large branches. The trees and branches caught much of the wind because they were still in leaf.

A tree fell onto a car on Wassenaarseweg in The Hague. No casualties are known.
